Jane Coull has retired as catering assistant at Royal Victoria Hospital in Dundee after 48 years.

To mark the occasion, colleagues arranged a lunch event where Jane was presented with flowers and gifts by Alison Rogers, non executive member of NHS Tayside Board, who thanked Jane on behalf of the Board for her decades of hard work.

Jane began her career with NHS Tayside in 1968 as a catering assistant at Bridge of Earn Hospital before moving to Dundee Royal Infirmary in 1969 as a kitchen maid. In 1971, Jane moved to Royal Victoria Hospital where she worked as a dining room assistant until her retiral.

Commenting on her years at Royal Victoria, Jane said, “I have loved coming to work every day because the people here are so wonderful and I will miss them all.”

Jane now plans to enjoy more time with her husband Eric and her nieces and nephew.
