FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Self Management Week event in Angus

National Self Management Week runs from Monday, 3 October and a celebratory information event is being held in Forfar.

The theme of this year's week is ‘Powerful Partnerships’, which is a very apt theme for the many collaborations that run in Angus to help people living with long term conditions.

A celebratory event to mark National Self Management Week is to be held on Friday, 30 September from 2 - 4 pm in Voluntary Action Angus, 1 St James Road, Forfar and members of the public are invited to attend.

The informal drop in event, hosted by Voluntary Action Angus, will showcase some of the ‘powerful partnerships’ supporting people affected by long term conditions in Angus.

The event will include information about local developments for people living with dementia, cardiac disease and respiratory disease. There will also be information about developments open for all patients living with long term conditions including Angus Long Term Conditions Support Groups and the Angus Long Term Conditions Activity Programme. Carer support is essential and Angus Carers will also be in attendance.

Refreshments will also be on offer and the team is looking forward to meeting people to share information about the many ongoing developments in Angus.
