Public invited to join online ‘Living Life Well in the Community’ event

Members of the public are being invited to attend a virtual ‘Living Life Well in the Community’ event to raise awareness of local mental health services and organisations.

The online event, which will run on Thursday, 18 March between 2pm and 5.30pm, will include a range of key speakers, a Q&A session and community presentations.

NHS Tayside Chief Executive Grant Archibald will open the event and discuss the launch of Living Life Well, the Tayside-wide strategy to improve mental health and learning disability services. The strategy has been developed following a programme of work with more than 600 local stakeholders, including people with lived experience, their families and carers along with voluntary and third sector organisations, NHS Tayside staff, local authorities and Police Scotland.

The ‘Living Life Well in the Community’ event has been arranged by the Mental Health and Wellbeing Communications and Engagement Sub-Group. The group comes from a wide cross-section of people involved in mental health services including people with lived experience, staff, members from third sector organisations, patient advocacy groups and the Stakeholder Participation Group which was set up as part of the Independent Inquiry.
