Common symptoms of a balance disorder

  • Feeling of faintness or light-headedness
  • Loss of balance or unsteadiness

  • Feeling a floating sensation or dizziness
  • Vision changes, such as blurriness

At your first appointment the audiologist will discuss your balance symptoms, take a medical history and perform various balance assessments. The type of assessment carried out will be based on your individual symptoms and health status and as a result not everyone will require every test.
