Connecting with Others

It is really important to feel connected to others in our family and with our friends, and this can be achieve in a variety of ways. Try and set aside some time when you are not distracted by other activities and events. Put phones and iPods away and focus on having a conversation, with a special emphasis on listening to one another and being clear in what you want to communicate and share.

Engaging in activities with others is a great way to connect and there are also numerous ways to connect online and through social media. If you are unable to connect face to face, using FaceTime, Skype or Zoom can be a great way to connect but make sure to stay safe online - check out www.saferinternet.org.uk

Using a variety of media to help communication can help if you are struggling with your mental wellbeing and there are many support groups, advice lines and positive resources which you can access for free. Talking to someone else about your worries or anxieties can really help and will allow others to know when things aren't going so well.
