Hobbies and Skills

Being engaged with a hobby or learning and practising a new skills has numerous benefits for your mental well being, self esteem and confidence, and can also help to chat about in different social situations. Why not try something new or go back to something that you enjoyed in the past. Ideas could be sports, creative and crafts activities, dance, drama, singing, art, reading, gaming, puzzles, quizzes, listening to music or podcasts, building, baking or cooking... the list is endless!

You don't have to be good at things for you to enjoy them and feel the benefit - so try not to be too competitive or think that you can't join in because you aren't the best. Activities can be enjoyed either on your own, with a friend or in larger groups.
