After Your Operation

DrEaM

Dreaming stands for "drinking, eating and mobilising" after surgery.

You will normally be encouraged to start eating and drinking and moving around as soon as possible after most operations but you should check with your nurse first to ensure it is safe and so they can help you if needed.

Your team will aim for you to be able to leave hospital as soon as you are able to take care of yourself at home. Your home circumstances will be taken into consideration when planning your hospital discharge.

Please ask your team about any queries or concerns you may have about your care after surgery.
