Groups and Committees
The Sexual Health & Blood Borne Virus Managed Care Network (MCN) is comprised of the following groups:
The Sexual Health & Blood Borne Virus Managed Care Network Board
a multi-professional group with representation from secondary care, primary care, local authority, the voluntary sector and patient/carers/client representatives throughout Tayside, which has a remit for the identification and agreement of priorities for prevention, treatment, care and service development. A number of sub groups take forward specific issues and feedback to the Network Board.
The Audit & Clinical Governance Sub Group
a multi-professional group with representation from virology, medicine, nursing & public health which has a remit for ensuring the MCN can provide evidence it is delivering high quality, evidence based care and services.
The Education Sub Group
a multi-professional group with representation from secondary care, public health, local authority and voluntary sector representatives , with a remit for development, promotion and implementing relevant and consistent training across Tayside in relation to sexual health and blood borne virus.
The Hepatitis Sub Group
a multi-professional group with representation from secondary care, primary care, local authority, voluntary sector and patient/carers/client representatives throughout Tayside. Its remit is to promote develop and implement best practice for individuals with Hepatitis C and Hepatitis B.
The HIV Sub Group
a multi-professional group with representation from secondary care, primary care, local authority, voluntary sector and patient/carers/client representatives throughout Tayside, which will have a remit for improving HIV care and treatment.
The Sexual Health Improvement & Blood Borne Virus Prevention Sub Group
a multi-professional group with representation from secondary care, primary care, local authority, voluntary sector and patient/carers/client representatives throughout Tayside, which will have a remit for Sexual Health improvement & Blood Borne Virus prevention. This includes public awareness, education & harm reduction.
The Sexual & Reproductive Health Sub Group
a multi-professional group with representation from secondary care, primary care, local authority, voluntary sector and patient/carers/client representatives throughout Tayside, which will have a remit for improving Sexual and reproductive healthcare and treatment.
