Limb Fasciculation
- Patents with isolated fasciculation
- Limb fasciculation is a common symptom but one that can generate worry
- Fasciculation in the absence of weakness is highly unlikely to be due to an underlying worrisome cause and patients can generally be reassured.
- To investigate
- Please send a CK
- If CK >1.5 times upper limit of normal please ask the patient to abstain from physical activities for 1 week and re-test.
- If CK remains elevated (and no other cause found, i.e. statin use) please refer to Neurology
