Volunteering with NHS Tayside

Volunteer logo
NHS Tayside values volunteers. We know volunteering makes a difference and that volunteers have a huge amount to offer and help to enhance our patients' experience.

Our volunteers are appropriately trained to carry out their role. Some volunteering roles require additional training and this will be provided if needed

As a volunteer you will be able to provide a little extra help to healthcare in NHS Tayside. Examples of how you can do this include driving patients to and from palliative care appointments, spending time with patients who have few or no visitors, providing directions to people coming into busy healthcare premises, supporting audiology clinics are just a few examples.

Our volunteers tell us they like to volunteer to give something back, to improve communication, to meet new people, to add structure to their day, to learn a new skill.

If you are interested in joining our team please have a look at the 'Where can you volunteer' section below where you'll find opportunities that are local to you and details on how to get in touch.

Thank you from the Volunteering Team at NHS Tayside.
