Travelling to and parking at Perth Royal Infirmary

Perth Royal Infirmary is located between Jeanfield Road and Glasgow Road, approximately one mile from the city centre.

Parking

We would encourage patients, visitors and staff to consider alternative ways of getting to hospital such as using public transport, cycling, walking and arranging to be dropped off by a relative or friend. If it is essential that you travel by car, please leave adequate time to find a space prior to your appointment.

NHS Tayside has a Car Parking Policy to balance the needs of staff, patients and visitors, and ensure our car parks continue to be fairly and effectively managed.

If it is essential that you travel to PRI by car please leave adequate time to find a space prior to your appointment.

Car parks 2 and 16 are now available for patients, visitors and staff to use. There is no time limit in these areas and there is no need for vehicles to display a ticket or permit whist using car parks 2 and 16.

Please note that there is no change to parking arrangements for the remaining car parks at PRI and users are reminded that they must collect and clearly display a free parking ticket.

Smart Parking provide car park management on behalf of NHS Tayside.

For parking enquiries please contact tay.sfmpri@nhs.scot.

Public Transport

Public transport is a viable alternative to the car for many staff, out-patients and visitors and information will be prominently displayed at a number of locations across the Perth Royal Infirmary (PRI) site.

Frequent services to Perth City Centre from across Perth and outlying communities can be combined with Stagecoach services to provide a link from the city centre (Mill Street) to the hospital campus.

Journeys to PRI can be planned by visitors using www.travelinescotland.com. When using on-line journey planners it is always easiest to use two postcodes – i.e. your own home postcode and the postcode of your destination (PRI is PH1 1NX).

Stagecoach bus service X7 runs between Perth Royal Infirmary and Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, offering a direct connection between the two hospitals. Plan your journey with Stagecoach.

Getting there by Bicycle

You can plan your route by bicycle to Perth Royal Infirmary using the Tactran travel planner or Traveline Scotland.

Cycle racks (some with shelter) are provided across the site including the main patient entrance, conference suite entrance and medicine for the elderly entrance. Users are required to provide their own lock.
