Who is involved in rehabilitation whilst an inpatient?
The Whole Team
A multidisciplinary team of Doctors, Nurses and Therapists aim to provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment of medical problems. The aim is to enable the patient to maximise their physical, mental and social functioning. This will involve the patient and all the staff working together.
Visiting an Inpatient
Visiting is an important part of the rehabilitation process. Visitors can visit at any time throughout the day; however, it is helpful to avoid mealtimes and therapy times.
Approximate Mealtimes:
Breakfast: 8.00am to 9.30am
Lunch: 11.30am to 1.00pm
Dinner: 4.30pm to 6.00pm
Visitors who are or feel unwell should refrain from visiting the ward.
On occasion visiting can be restricted, for example, during a pandemic or other infection issues that arise within the ward.
Unless agreed with the Nurse in charge for exceptional circumstances, we ask that there are no more than 2 visitors at the bedside.

Relatives and friends may call at any time. Routine enquiries should be made in the afternoon or evening. Please avoid calling during mealtimes. It would be helpful if one person acts as spokesperson for the family.
