This section is here to help provide some information, self help resources and suggest ways you might get further help locally and online. These resources are likely to be helpful for all children, young people and their families regardless of whether you are to be seen by CAMHS or not.

The Neuro Developmental Portal was created by our own CAMHS staff here in Tayside, specifically for parents and carers concerned about possible neuro developmental differences/difficulties.

To access the ND Portal, visit www.nhstaysidecamhs.co.uk, using the sign up button to create your own account. Please note, if you have accessed the portal before, continue to log in using your code as normal.

Join our 2-week online programme designed to deepen your understanding of neurodiversity and what this means for your child. We'll explore both preventative and real-time strategies to support your child's development, while focusing on creating a personalised profile that highlights their strengths.

The courses run every school term and you can choose between daytime or evening sessions. Once you have completed this course you will receive the link to access our 4 follow-on sessions. Find out more information on our Eventbrite page here.
ND Embracing Difference Course page breaker
Embracing Difference is a 6-session training, by NHS Fife & recorded by NHS Lothian, for parents of primary aged children who are neuro divergent or present with developmental divergence.

The group aims to provide parents with up-to-date information and strategies to support their child, to optimise their learning and reduce distress. It The also offers strategies to support parental self-care and wellbeing.

Embracing Difference draws from current research and evidence-based practice to provide information on how to support children who are neuro-divergent.

Each week focusses on a different area and provides strategies and information for parents to use with their child, in order to support them to flourish. To watched the recorded sessions, click on the titles below:
