Angus Care Home Activity Network (CHAN)

The Angus Care Home Activity Network was formed in March 2024 following feedback from Care Homes at the Connection Event which took place in the Steeple Church in Dundee in September 2023.
An invitation was sent to all care homes in Angus asking who would like to be involved. The group consists of Activity Co-ordinators and staff interested in activities from across Angus, supported by the Scottish Care Independent Sector Lead, Senior Nurse for Care Homes and Care home Nurse Practitioner within the Health and Social Care Partnership. The aim was to form a group where care home activity co-ordinators or care staff could meet periodically to discuss activities and share ideas.
One of the first things the group progressed was a funding bid to the MacKenzie Legacy Trust, which we were successful in securing, this allowed us to plan a network event which took place in August. 2024
This funding will support us to host further events in 2025 and in 2026!

We hope to continue to engage with as many care homes across Angus and come together several times a year to share ideas and resources, connecting with each other as well as with the wider community.
There are many groups and clubs which care home residents are able to join. Please do join the Angus Care Home Activity Network Facebook page for further information and details (Please note this is a closed group).
