Badgernotes

First Appointment

At this first visit you will be asked questions about you and your family’s health and about any previous pregnancies. We are then able to plan your care with you for this pregnancy.
Information will be given on diet (foods to avoid), and lifestyle considerations (smoking and alcohol or drug intake), pregnancy care services, maternity benefits, and screening tests (blood tests and screening). With your consent, you will be weighed, your height measured, your blood pressure taken and your urine tested.
You may want to download the Ready Steady Baby App before you come to meet your midwife.
