Physiotherapy while you are in hospital
NHS Tayside physiotherapists work with people while they are staying in hospitals or rehab units across Tayside. In these settings, we help people recover their movement after surgery, illness or injury.
Your physiotherapy treatment plan will depend on the reason(s) why you are in hospital. For example, physiotherapy input after a knee replacement is different to physiotherapy after a stroke or physiotherapy after a urinary tract infection. Often, your treatment will focus on improving your ability to move and getting you ready for your discharge from hospital.
