Which physiotherapy teams accept student placements?

Most teams welcome student placements. We offer placements in orthopaedics, respiratory medicine, medicine for the elderly (acute and rehab), acute medicine, stroke, neurosurgery, women's health, musculoskeletal outpatients, vascular surgery (amputee rehab), cardiac rehab, palliative care, community-based physiotherapy and paediatrics.

Do you offer elective placements?

Unfortunately, we are not in a position to offer elective placements.

How can I best prepare for my student placement?

Make sure to get in touch with your clinical educator in advance of your placement. Your university should be able to provide you with their email address. Your clinical educator will be able to signpost you to relevant background reading and preparation for your placement.  Do not hesitate to contact us if you have difficulty contacting your educator.

Where do you advertise your vacancies?

We advertise our vacancies on the NHS Scotland Recruitment website. If you would be interested in working with us, your clinical educator will be happy to answer your questions around employment by NHS Tayside.
