How to Access Physiotherapy

In most cases, your midwife or doctor will refer you to one of our pelvic physiotherapists if you're experiencing pain or urinary incontinence during pregnancy. However, depending on your symptoms, you may also have the option to self-refer.
You will either be contacted directly with an appointment, or you may receive a letter or text inviting you to call and arrange one at your convenience.
For some individuals, a group session may be recommended instead of an individual appointment.
Regardless of the format, your physiotherapy will include a combination of movement techniques, specific exercises, and tailored advice, all suited to your stage of pregnancy.
