Dizziness and Vertigo

Who to Refer 

In general, patients with dizziness are not seen by Neurology. Exceptions to this are
  • Vertigo associated with other neurological features (NB, if abrupt in onset please consider stroke medicine)
  • Dizziness as part of migraine and no response to 3 trialled prophylactic agents – please see migraine RefGuide page
