Personal Profile
Martin Black was a Senior Community Development Officer prior to his retirement, working with and in communities that had history of many inequalities and he is passionate in reducing such. He also worked for a few years in Strategic Planning in this local authority, and has extensive and varied experience in engaging with communities. His other great determination is in improving addiction recovery opportunities having had experience and engagement with participants for over thirty years and having previously been the vice-chair of a national recovery fellowship. Martin has been a member of NHS Fife, holding various committee positions in Finance, Staff Governance, Clinical Governance, Remuneration, Population Health and Wellbeing, and Audit and Risk. He has previously chaired Staff Governance, Audit and Risk, and Pharmacy Practice and Dental Appeals; and was also a member of an Integration Joint Board for six years, serving on Finance, Clinical Governance and Audit and Risk.
