How to find the Neurosurgery Department

The Neurosurgery Department is based around Ward 23B on Level 6 in the South Block, Ninewells Hospital.

Inpatients may be cared for on Ward 23B (Neurosurgical Ward), the High Dependency Unit (HDU) located on Ward 23B, or on Ward 23A (Neurology Ward) located next door to Ward 23B.

Often, if you are arriving for a planned procedure, we may ask you to come to the Day Surgery Unit, also located on Level 6. Your admission letter will tell you where we expect you to arrive.

Outpatient appointments are usually held in Outpatient Area 3A on Level 7, just off the main concourse. Patients may also be reviewed on Ward 23B as ward attenders.
