Personal Profile
Claire Pearce trained at South Lothian College of Nursing and Midwifery in 1986. She was a Senior Charge Nurse in Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant in Edinburgh Cancer Centre.

Claire has considerable experience in the health service in a wide range of operational, strategic management and professional leadership roles in NHS Lothian, NHS Borders and Scottish Ambulance Service.

In 2015 she undertook a secondment to the Scottish Government to work on 7 day services within the Workforce Directorate. In 2016 Claire completed a Masters in Advanced Nursing Practice at Edinburgh University.

Claire is the Deputy Chair of the Scottish Executive Nurse Directors Group (SEND). She is passionate about safe and effective, compassionate care as well as supporting staff to reach their full potential.

Claire is the Nurse Director of NHS Tayside currently on secondment from the Scottish Ambulance Service. Within her Executive Officer role, Claire is accountable for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions.
