Personal Profile
Elaine started her career in healthcare in 1995 as PA to the Director of Human Resources in NHS Tayside and held various roles within the HR team before leaving in 2002.

During her time with NHS Tayside, Elaine completed her CIPD and after moving to Canada, achieved a Masters in Healthcare Leadership in 2013.
Elaine has worked in the healthcare system in Ontario and Alberta in Canada for the last 19 years where she has seen similar challenges and opportunities to those NHS Tayside is experiencing.

As Director of Workforce, Elaine will be responsible for providing visionary strategic leadership support to those within the Workforce Directorate and operational and strategic leadership across all aspects of the employee journey.

Elaine is passionate about working in partnership to create an environment for everyone to do their best work and to ensure high level of governance.
Returning to NHS Tayside after 19 years, Elaine said, “It was my goal to come back to Tayside and I am excited at the prospect of being able to continue to contribute to healthcare here at home. There will continue to be challenges and opportunities, but if we work together, we can create the future we want, and I am fully committed to being part of that future.”
