Having Problems with your Hearing Aid?

Hearing aids need ongoing care. Some patients are happy to do most of this themselves and others need further support.

If your hearing aid is not working well or you are unable to carry out maintenance at home, you can use the following options to obtain support:

Attending our open access repairs sessions held in Kings Cross Health & Community Care Centre- you do not need to make an appointment, please attend the open access repair sessions on
  • Monday 9am - 4pm
  • Tuesday 9am - 12noon

Please contact us to book a repair appointment if you wish to be seen at Perth Royal Infirmary, Stracathro Hospital, Crieff Community Hospital, Pitlochry Community Hospital or Whitehills Health & Community Care Centre

Attending one of the volunteer drop in clinics held in locations across NHS Tayside.

If you are unable to attend an appointment, a friend or relative can attend on your behalf so a repair can be carried out.
You can post your hearing aid into the department for repair but there may be a longer delay with this option so please  use one of the above options if you need your hearing aid repaired urgently.

If you need batteries for your hearing aid, please attend one of your local battery collection points.
Please note if you suspect a problem with wax or an infection we recommend visiting your GP before attending the repair appointment.

In some cases we may need to arrange a further appointment after seeing you, in order to solve all issues or to have you hearing loss reassessed.
