Will I have to spend time in hospital or a young person's unit for my mental health if I come to CAMHS?

Only a very small number of young people ever have to be cared for in our young person’s unit. These young people are so unwell that they need to spend some time in hospital. In the unlikely event that we felt you needed to spend some time in hospital, we would talk to you and your parents/carers about it and give it very careful consideration. Remember this is rare. Almost all children and young people who come to CAMHS won’t ever need to spend time in hospital.
