Please make sure you allow plenty of time to get to Dundee Dental Hospital & School for your appointment and if possible bring your appointment letter with you.
If you cannot attend, please let us know by calling the number on your appointment letter. This means we can offer another patient this appointment, and so the time is not wasted. It also helps to reduce waiting times for consultation, treatment and follow-up care appointments.
Please bring a list of your current medications with you to your appointments and let us know in advance if you have any additional requirements.
Your initial appointments will not involve any treatment, there may be students present and may take place on an open clinic. You can request that you are not examined by a student or seen on an open clinic, however, this may mean that your appointment is rescheduled for a different day.

Opening Times
Appointments are available on weekdays only, and between 0900-1230 and 1330-1700. We are closed at the weekends and on NHS Tayside’s bank holidays.
Bringing Children to your Appointment
It is not advisable to bring children to your appointment without a responsible adult to care for them whilst you are being seen. It may not be possible to proceed with your appointment if a child is not appropriately supervised.

Fire Safety
In the event of a fire alarm please stay calm and follow the instructions provided by a member of staff. Please leave the building promptly by the nearest fire exit and do not use lifts. Following an evacuation you will be told when it is safe for you to return to the building.
Open Plan
Our treatment clinics may differ to the setting you experience when visiting your own Dental Practitioner. Many of our treatment areas are open plan.
We understand, however, that there may be occasions when you would prefer to discuss your care more privately. We may be able to provide a more enclosed treatment area for those occasions - please let your Dentist or Student know and arrangements will be made where possible.
