Patients and Staff Evolving Our Service

The Photobiology Unit has been gathering patient feedback for several years but in 2019 we decided to put more emphasis into this area and we approached our patients to ask for their help in developing the Scottish Photobiology Service.

The result is shared-ownership in the service with patients and staff working together to develop the service for current and future users. A summary of our activities is listed below and will be updated on a regular basis.

How it all started...

In April 2019 we held our first ever engagement event for the Scottish Photobiology Service. Click on the image below for a summary of this event.
Photobiology Improving Service Through Design

Following on...

After the event at the V&A in April 2019 we gained more of an insight into the experience of patients attending the Scottish Photobiology Service and the impact of living with a photosensitivity disease. We worked together, patients and staff, to think of possible solutions to the issues that were highlighted. The journey has just begun but we have summarised the progress so far in the video below.
