Meet the team
Nursing staff
- The YPU Nursing staff provide a 24/7 service for the young people. The Nursing staff consist of Charge Nurses, Staff Nurses, Clinical Support Workers and Ward Assistants.
- Liaison nurses based in each region; Tayside, Highland and Grampian (inc. Shetland and Orkney). Liaison Nurses are available Monday- Friday.
- Link Charge Nurse (Available Monday- Friday).
- Lead Nurse for North of Scotland. The lead nurse works with the Liaison Nurses, inpatient team and local teams to help ensure young people and their families/carers receive the best possible care.
Medical Staff
- The medical team are made up of consultant psychiatrists, a Speciality Doctor and an FY1 Doctor in the YPU who are available Monday to Friday.

Education
- At the YPU there are three teachers. The teachers can also arrange access to external tutors in specific subjects.
