North of Scotland CAMHS Network
The young people's unit is a regional unit for young people from the North of Scotland. The North of Scotland CAMHS Network which is made up of five NHS boards: NHS Tayside, NHS Grampian, NHS Highland, NHS Orkney and NHS Shetland.
Young people can be admitted to the YPU from any of these areas.
The YPU keeps regular contact with the young person's home team and family also. Professionals from young people's home teams will be invited to fortnightly team meetings and review meetings.
The Network also has liaison nurses who help to bridge the gap between the YPU and the young person's home team at times of transition.
