North of Scotland CAMHS Network

The young people's unit is a regional unit for young people from the North of Scotland. The North of Scotland CAMHS Network which is made up of six NHS boards: NHS Grampian, NHS Highland, NHS Orkney NHS Shetland NHS Tayside and NHS Western Isles.
Young people can be admitted to the YPU from any of these areas.
The YPU keeps in regular contact with the young person's home CAMHS team and their family also. Professionals from young people's home teams will be invited to fortnightly team meetings and review meetings, as will their parents/carers and home school contacts where applicable.
The regional network also has Network Nurses who help to bridge the gap between the YPU and the young person's home team at times of transition.
