A partnership between Dundee City Council Advice Services and Brooksbank Centre offer free, confidential financial support at GP practices across Dundee.
- The service offers help with a wide range of money problems including benefit, Universal Credit and tax credit issues, debt advice and help to complete forms.
- Trained welfare rights officers can identify what benefits you may be entitled to or assess the merits of your case if you want to challenge a decision.
- Your welfare rights officer can assist you to access your medical records where it is relevant to your case. This can be a huge help in supporting any claim for sickness or disability benefits.
- We can also give you advice about any debts you may have and can offer free debt solutions if you owe money and are having difficulty paying it back. This can include rent or mortgage arrears, energy bills, Council Tax arrears, bank loans, credit card debts, court fines or loan shark debt.
- We also offer access to energy advisers who can help with utility debt, energy efficiency measures and access to grant funding.
