Bronchoscopy is undertaken in the Bronchoscopy Suite, East Block, Level 5 and ERCP in the X-ray Department, Level 6. We have approximately 47 sessions each week.
A morning session runs from 0830-1230 hours and an afternoon session from 1330-1700 hours. We can see as many as 200 out-patients and 60 in-patients each week.
Most lists are planned but we also undertake emergency procedures and this may cause unexpected waits for some of our patients. Patients can expect to be in the department for 2-3 hours.
