The Laboratory Genetic Service offers cytogenetic and molecular genetic testing for a wide range of inherited and acquired genetic conditions and encompasses testing for solid tumours and haematological malignancies.
The Service is a member of the Scottish Genomic Strategic Network commissioned by National Services Division (NSD) to provide a comprehensive specialist genetic testing service for Scottish patients. Please see the Scottish Genomic Test Directory (germline and somatic) for tests available within Scotland.
The details of the services offered are in our User Manual. Certain genetic tests are also provided by the Service at Ninewells for users from NHS Highland.
