We do not need to see patients for Haemochromatosis diagnostic or carrier testing in the Genetics service.
Non-genetic specialists (including GPs) can request haemochromatosis carrier testing on Ice.
If you have completed appropriate genetic testing and the patient has been identified as homozygous for C282Y or compound heterozygous for C282Y/H63D, further advice is available from the local Haematology service.
