Appointments with our service

Appointment diary

What do appointments look like?

We currently offer virtual appointments using Near Me, or face-to-face appointments across Angus, Dundee and Perth & Kinross.  Your first appointment will be a 20 minute phone call to discuss the best type of support for you.  You will then have a 1-hour assessment appointment with one of our dietitians, followed by a further seven 30 minute appointments to complete our programme.  We can offer further review appointments after this if you require further support.  Interpreters are available if needed.

What happens at appointments?

We use a family-centred approach to enable you and your child to take control of your own lifestyle changes.  This may include changes in food choices, eating behaviours, physical activity, sleep routines and screen time.

We will take height and weight measurements at face-to-face appointments and ask you to do this at home if your appointments are virtual.  If this is something you are uncomfortable with, then please let us know.

We may ask you to complete a food and activity diary prior to your appointments.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

Please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer your appointment slot to another family and reschedule your appointment.  You can phone us on 01738 473784 or email us on tay.chws@nhs.scot
