HOPE - Helping Older People Engage
HOPE is a free service for people aged 55 and over who live in Dundee.
Sometimes it can be difficult to know what help and support is available, particularly if you are not sure where to look or who to contact. HOPE's Community Engagement Workers can provide information, advice and support to help you find and access services in your local community.
The aim is to help older people remain safe, well, active and independent.
What Can Hope Help With?
HOPE can provide advice, support and signposting for a wide range of needs. This can include help to access:
- Local social activities and groups.
- Befriending and opportunities to meet other people.
- Housing advice and support with housing applications.
- Benefits and income maximisation advice.
- Energy advice.
- Occupational Therapy for equipment and home adaptations.
- Community Alarm services.
- Community Meals and other meal delivery options.
- Blue Badge applications.
- Bus pass applications.
- Morning call services.
- Home Fire Safety visits
HOPE can also make referrals to appropriate services and help you find the support that is most suitable for your individual circumstances.
How Can I Access Hope?
HOPE is available to people aged 55 and over living in Dundee, including people who own their own home and those who rent.
