This involves:
· Strategic Collaboration: Providing expertise. Advice and support to a diverse range of partners, including Integrated Joint Health Boards, Community Planning Partners, the Voluntary Sectors and relevant Local Authority departments.
· Capacity Building and Awareness: Developing awareness, delivering training and building capacity for mental health improvement and substance use across various target groups within the Tayside population.
· Community Engagement: Supporting, coordinating, or leading co-production, community development, engagement, and participation approaches to prevent harm and address health inequalities.
The team's core areas of focus include: Prevention and health promotion strategic and operational planning, Policy development and/or implementation, Training, teaching, and capacity building for targeted groups, Research and development, Monitoring and evaluation.Overall Aim of the Training and Capacity Building Programme
The aim of the training and capacity building programme is to enhance the knowledge, skills, confidence, practices, and training capacity of the wider workforce across Tayside in the key areas of: Improving mental health, Addressing substance use, Suicide prevention, Reducing health inequalities, Prevention and health promotion.
Target Audience
The target audience includes all frontline staff, managers, and supervisors working across the public and third sectors in Tayside, including volunteers and both constituted and unconstituted community groups.
