This series of e-learning modules aims to:
  • Describe what a national screening programme is.
  • Understand inequalities in screening and the barriers to screening.
  • Know what you can do to support informed participation in screening.
  • Describe the 5 adult screening programmes (abdominal aortic aneurysm, breast, bowel, cervical and diabetic eye screening) including: What the screening test involves, who is eligible for the test, what results to expect,  the risks and benefits of the screening test and further investigation involved in the screening pathway.   
  • Understand the signs and symptoms associated with each screened for condition
  • Understand risk factors and risk reduction for the screened for condition
