Sensory Difficulties

Sensory Jigsaw Final
What are Sensory Difficulties?
  • Does your child appear uncomfortable in their body, do they fidget, squirm or constantly touch things?
  • Do they struggle to concentrate or are they easily distracted.
  • Do certain sensations upset them?

They may have Sensory Processing Difficulties.

Evidence shows that children display their sensory differences to the people they trust the most. Therefore, the best way to support children is for those around them to have a good understanding of why these difficulties occur and what they can put in place to support the child which is why we don't tend to carry out assessments or interventions. Instead we offer a robust package of training and the option of a sensory consultation following the training.

More detailed guidance from the Royal College of Occupational Therapy which supports the way we work with sensory difficulties.
