About Us
Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust (THAT) has delivered arts and health programmes for more than 20 years. In partnership with NHS Tayside, cultural and community organisations, we provide creative opportunities that improve health, wellbeing, and quality of life for people living with long-term conditions.
Our Aims
- Improve health and wellbeing through creative participation in hospital and community settings.
- Promote high-quality, supportive healthcare and social care environments.
- Research, evidence, and advocate for the role of the arts in health and wellbeing.
THAT operates across all three Tayside local authorities in Dundee, Perth & Kinross and Angus, delivering:
- Creative engagement programmes in inpatient units, community venues, and mainstream cultural spaces.
- Specialist advice and project management for arts based environmental enhancement commissions in health and care settings.
- Advocacy and awareness-raising, both regionally and nationally, through participation in key networks and initiatives promoting arts in health.
