Co-production through Design Led Workshops

Tayside has taken a public health transformation and design led approach to identifying the change needed to deliver whole system sustainable change. The Digital Health and Care Institute (DHI) was commissioned by NHS Tayside to assist with the co-production of new and improved services.
 
This approached involved:

• Identifying population need including inequalities within current provision.
• Desk top research identifying digital approaches to type 2 diabetes diagnosis and management.
• Mapping current service pathways.
• Gathering views from people living with type 2 diabetes or gestational diabetes, experiences of current services.
• Highlighting key issues with current service design.
• Prioritising opportunities for innovation.
• Identifying key challenges.
• Developing recommendations for whole system change.
