Accessing the V1P Tayside Service

Veterans are defined as anyone who has served for at least one day in the UK’s Armed Forces (Regular or Reserve) or Merchant Mariners who have seen duty on legally defined military operations.
We accept referrals in a number of ways.

Self Referral:
Veterans or their loved ones can self refer by phone, email, or text. We will take the veterans details and a registration appointment will be arranged for the veteran.

The registration appointment will usually be conducted by one of the team's peer support worker. During the appointment, that all veterans must undertake, allows time for the veteran to talk about the things they most need help with and the peer support worker will plan with the veteran as to how their care and support will be provided. The V1PTayside service has developed links with many health and social care services and we aim to help veterans access the right help at the time they most need it. (As part of the registration process we require a form of photographic ID for administration purposes e.g., valid passport, UK drivers licence).

If you wish to be accompanied by someone, please let us know when you're arranging the registration appointment.
