Within NHS Tayside the Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) support people of all ages who have an issue that is impacting on their ability to function such as, helping them to regain movement or mobility, overcome visual problems, improve nutritional status, develop communication abilities and restore confidence in everyday living skills, consequently helping them to enjoy quality of life even when faced with life-limiting conditions.
AHPs are established in a range of service areas including, child health, learning disabilities, education, care of the elderly and mental health. There are a total of 10 professions which make up the Allied Health Professions. For information on each profession, please select below.
