What kind of help can young people get from CAMHS?

How can we help you?
There are two main pathways through which young people get support from CAMHS: the Mental Health Pathway or the Paediatric Neurodevelopmental Pathway.

Young people are generally referred to the service because they have a long term difficulty with their mental health which isn’t getting better or because there is concern that a young person may have a difficulty such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or an Intellectual Disability (previously known as learning disability).
