FAMILY/CARER SUPPORT
Everyone has the right to get support from another person to help express their views and wishes (for example, at a healthcare appointment). This person is called an advocate.
Advocates can be helpful if you:
• find it difficult to make your views known
• need other people to listen to you and take your views into account

If you’re a young carer, or you’re supporting someone else, Carers UK offers advice, information, and a safe community where you don’t have to feel alone. They’re also a charity that campaigns for better support for carers across the UK. Take a look here: www.carersuk.org
