Dundee Stroke Exercise Club

We collaborate with leisure and culture Dundee delivering classes over the city. Stroke can have a major impact on peoples lives leaving weakness in one side of the body, poor balance and co-ordination. Memory and communication problems are often a frustrating side effect too. At the Dundee exercise club the classes are carried out with trained staff and an excellent group of volunteers (All stroke survivors). We have rehabilitation classes for all abilities and ages helping each person regain their confidence and fitness to help them on the road to recovery.

Health Inclusion Nursing Team

Nurses offer community based Holistic Health and Wellbeing Checks and Health Consultations to those at higher risk of health inequalities e.g: those affected by substance use, homelessness, mental health and wellbeing issues, carers, offenders and prison leavers.  We offer advice and support, as well as referral and/or signposting to other services and supports. We also deliver stress management courses to support self-management of mental wellbeing.

Parkrun

Parkrun is a free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. Parkrun is 5k and takes place every Saturday morning. Junior parkrun is 2k, dedicated to 4-14 year olds and their families, every Sunday morning.

Parkrun is positive, welcoming and inclusive, there is no time limit and no one finishes last. Everyone is welcome to come along.
