On the S4/D5 MBChB Foundation Assistantship (FA) block Resident Doctors will support the students to learn the role of the FY doctor. A Resident Doctors' Handbook for the supervision of Foundation Assistantship students has been created to support Resident Doctors with this role and each ward area has a named Consultant supervisor who is responsible for the students on their Foundation Assistantship block.
