The Directorate of Medical Education (DoME) oversees the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate Medical Education in NHS Tayside and promote the innovation of teaching development. It is led by the Director of Medical Education, supported by Deputy and Associate Directors of Medical Education, the DoME Management and Administrative Services Team, Departmental Teaching Leads/Specialty Leads/Clinical Teaching Fellows and staff involved in teaching delivery.
Our Goals
- Providing leadership for Medical Education activity
- Champion the teaching and training of doctors and medical students
- Responsible for the use of ACT (Additional Cost of Teaching) funding
- Ensure that NHS Tayside meets all regulatory requirements for Medical Education
- Effective partnership working with external bodies such as NHS Education Scotland and the University of Dundee School of Medicine
