NHS Tayside and the Dundee MBChB programme jointly host 2 x Medical Education Development Fellows each year.
These fellows are ST3+ doctors in training who take a year out of programme to up-skill in curriculum development, educational improvement, educational leadership and undertake a higher qualification in medical education. These fellowships are usually advertised in November/December (via the NHS Scotland recruitment website) and interviews take place in December/January for post holders starting in the August.
Many previous post holders are now leaders in Medical Education in Tayside and beyond, including Teaching Leads, Assessment Leads, Block Convenors, Integrated Teachers, & Associate Directors of Medical Education.
