Infant feeding

Ducklings Neonatal services
There is an Infant Feeding Adviser in the Neonatal Unit, who is available during the week to come and meet you soon after your baby is admitted. She can support you with establishing and maintaining your milk supply while your baby is staying with us. The nursing team are also here to support you with expressing milk for your baby, getting to know your little one and becoming expert in their care. As your baby gradually progresses to suck feed the Infant Feeding Advisor will work with the nurses to help you and your baby learn the skills you need together.
Soon after your baby is delivered, you will receive an expressing pack containing information and equipment to help you to begin to express breast milk for your baby. Staff will support you to learn this important skill.
